Set up a company
Open peachtree software to setup a new company
data. Following window will appear:
Click on set up a company. The following data will appear:
Then click on next button which is given below. Then a
window will appear in which we write the company data. It is the introduction
of the company in which there should be at least the name of the company should
be mentioned. The following data will appear on window:
Then click on the next button would be the window of chart
of account in which we have to select the option which we want to take. There
are five options which are:
1.
Set up a new retail, service, construction,
manufacturing, or distribution company, using a simplified chart of accounts.
2.
Set up a new company using an extensive chart of
accounts from one of many sample companies
3.
Copy settings from an existing Peachtree
Accounting company
4.
Convert a copy from another accounting program
5.
Build your own company
While we are setting up a new company then we build our own
chart of accounts we click on it. The following window will be open:
After clicking on next button accounting methods will
appear. There are two types of accounting methods one is accrual and other is
cash. While selecting new company we will use accrual method. The following
window will appear:
Then click on the next button. Posting method will appear.
There are two types of posting methods real time and batch. We will select real
time. The following window will appear:
Then click on next button and accounting period will be
opened in which there are two options
1.
12 month
accounting period
2.
Accounting period that do not match the calendar
months
Click on the 12 month accounting period. The following
window data will appear:
Then click on next button and monthly accounting period will
be open. The following window shows the data:
