set up a company


Set up a company
Open  peachtree software to setup a new company data. Following window will appear:


Click on set up a company. The following data will appear:

Then click on next button which is given below. Then a window will appear in which we write the company data. It is the introduction of the company in which there should be at least the name of the company should be mentioned. The following data will appear on window:



Then click on the next button would be the window of chart of account in which we have to select the option which we want to take. There are five options which are:
1.       Set up a new retail, service, construction, manufacturing, or distribution company, using a simplified chart of accounts.
2.       Set up a new company using an extensive chart of accounts from one of many sample companies
3.       Copy settings from an existing  Peachtree  Accounting company
4.       Convert a copy from another accounting program
5.       Build your own company
While we are setting up a new company then we build our own chart of accounts we click on it. The following window will be open:


After clicking on next button accounting methods will appear. There are two types of accounting methods one is accrual and other is cash. While selecting new company we will use accrual method. The following window will appear:





Then click on the next button. Posting method will appear. There are two types of posting methods real time and batch. We will select real time. The following window will appear:

Then click on next button and accounting period will be opened in which there are two options
1.        12 month accounting period
2.       Accounting period that do not match the calendar months
Click on the 12 month accounting period. The following window data will appear:

Then click on next button and monthly accounting period will be open. The following window shows the data:

How to make a chart of account?
First we open Peach tree and then in that we go to open an existing file. The following window will be opened:

When we click on open an existing file following window will be opened:

We will click on the browse button and following window will opened in which we will click on the z drive:



Then we will click on the open company following window will open:


The following page will be opened:

Then we go to maintain for the entries of chart of account:



Following window will open in which chart of account will be maintained:

The current asset chart of account will be maintained when account id, description and account type will be entered by selecting. While selecting account id we will enter id for example 100 is the id of current assets, then we will go to description by mouse click or by using tab key. Then we will enter the account type by selecting it for example current asset has an account type other current assets. Then we will save it with alt and s key. The following window will be opened:





If the account id is wrongly written we can change it by clicking on change id the following window will occur from which we change the id:

If we have entered the wrong record then we will click on the delete button and the whole entry will be deleted:

Then all the record of chart of account will be maintained when we enter all the entries. which account we want to open we will click the button of search the following will window will occur:

Opening Microsoft Word Documents


Opening Microsoft Word Documents
We'll shortly add an address to the top of our Library Complaint letter. Before we do that, we'll learn how to open a file. After all, you might have closed down Microsoft Word, or your computer might have crashed. The result being that you no longer have your library letter loaded into Word. So here's how to Open a file you have saved, and want to work on again.
From the File menu, click Open:

The Open dialogue box appears, and looks like the image below:


The Open dialogue box looks very similar to the Save As dialogue box. "Save in", "File name", and "Files of type" work in exactly the same way as the Save As dialogue box. Notice, though that the File name text box is blank, and the Open button is not available. It has been greyed out.
The reason that the Open button is greyed out, and therefore not available, is that text box is empty. Once you select a file, the Open button will be ready for us.
But the text box is empty because no file has been selected. A file is selected from the larger white area in the middle. Clicking on the file once with the left hand mouse button will select a file. In the previous image, there was only one file available for selection - a document called "rrKeyCaps.doc". That is not the one we want.
To locate the file we want, we need to open the folder called "My WP Projects". Because that's where we saved it. You can see from the image that this folder is in the list of folders, just below the folder called My Pictures:


You can see also that we are in the folder called My Documents. To open up the folder we want, simply double click it. This will take us inside the My WP Projects:


The whole Open dialogue box now looks like this:


The file we want, Library Letter, has been clicked on. As a result, the Open button is no longer greyed out. We can go ahead and click it. When we do, our letter will open in Microsoft Word.
To recap then on how to open a file. Do the following
· Navigate to the folder where the file was saved
· Click on the file to select it
· Click the Open button

open a file in word

First of all, start the computer. Then on the left side of the desktop there is a start button click on it through mouse, a folder will be open in which there is written all programs click on it and a folder will be opened then go to the Microsoft office then click on it. There is written Microsoft word click on it and Microsoft Word will be opened.


then we will open the home the window will appear like this:


then we will the option of open:




after opening the following window will be opened:

then we select the file which we want to open:
in this way we can open any document by selecting it and click on the open button and then save it if we want to save it.
